Laser resurfacing with the carbon dioxide laser is used for removal of wrinkles, especially around the eyes and mouth. The original lasers required anesthesia and downtime. The first advance was the use of fractional laser technology which only damages about 20 per cent of the skin. By combining this laser wavelength with a new patented high speed scanner, Mixto delivers a precise matrix of microspots in the dermis of the skin. It allows maximium results with minimum downtime. Immediate shrinkage of damaged tissue results, with faster healing and significantly less discomfort. No anesthesia was necessary in a published study using the Mixto. in a study published in the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery, all the particiapants showed significant improvement in one treatment and easily tolerated the treatment .All of them expressed full satisfaction form the results.
